Coming back home, I have noticed that people are without jobs and less opportunity for the locals to work, yet i see a lot of these Filipinos working jobs which we locals can do! Does this bother anyone else? I feel sorry for most of the locals myself included that jobs are not available and that we have to look elsewhere for work and abandon our own island.
In the states its the same thing when i was there, jobs was getting harder to find do to the economy and the illegals(Mexicans Peruvians Colombians etc.) working about 1/2 the minimum wage. That being said on the island here, the Filipinos make twice more then the locals make with jobs that any local can do or even do a better job.
Does anyone else see this as a bad thing for our economy in Micronesia?
